Destinations Data
Destinations data is information about what students do once they leave KLA. The school has a responsibility to track this information for 2 years after students leave us at the end of Year 11. The data can change several times within this 2 year time frame as sometimes the personal circumstances of young people may change.
Most students go on to a FE College or a 6th From. Some go on to apprenticeships or employment with accredited training. Very few students become NEET (not in education, employment or training). If a young person is NEET or at risk of becoming NEET, the local County Council may step in to support the young person.
Destinations data also helps KLA review it’s careers and IAG provision.
Most students will leave school with level 2 qualifications and will move on to level 3 qualifications at a college or 6th form. However, some students may not be ready for level 3 courses so there are many level 1 and 2 courses available. Some technical subjects such as electrical installation may require all students to begin at level 2 regardless of their GCSE results.
