2012 sees a new type of 6th form experience for the young people of King’s Lynn and

West Norfolk. Since opening in 2010, King’s Lynn Academy has grown in popularity

and results have risen so fast that we are now one of the most improved schools and

academies in the UK.

6th form students now have the chance to be part of a truly exciting new development.

The College of West Anglia, together with KLA, will be the very first state-funded

partnership in the country to offer Edexcel’s International Diploma at advanced

level. The course will offer students a new type of learning experience, giving you an

advantage at university and job interviews.

The focus of our International Diploma is on Enterprise. The course is designed to help

you to use your learning from across the curriculum, whether you choose to focus

upon the arts, sciences, sports or the humanities, and apply it to real life challenges

and projects.

The course will be active, demanding and, ultimately, rewarding.

This is not a course in Business Studies, though it would complement such

qualifications well. This course is for all students who wish to pursue a wider education

post-16, work with a broad mix of fellow students and work alongside students around

the globe also studying for the International Diploma.

We also have the pleasure in offering a level 2 programmes for students wishing to

benefit from improving their employability skills whilst accessing GCSE courses in

English or Maths alongside further study.
